tv promo producer. telling people what to do and when it's due with various forms of pleasantries and pastries - since 2007.
tv is in my blood and despite both my parents' warnings, i decided to do it anyway. my mom directed tv news. my dad started as a camera man. my sister is an actress. we were never going to be bankers or lawyers, despite being able to argue without much evidence. i worked for PBS in chicago for six years, but never met big bird. i have also been a bartender, an office manager, a print designer, a personal assistant, a dog walker, an avid editor, a music segment producer, a waitress, a PA, an AP, a DP, an AD (and a PITA), a business owner, a bookstore manager and for one glorious month, a temp at a Jewish synagogue, answering the phones with a friendly "shalom". and just for the record, not Jewish, even though my mother acts like she is, if only to annoy me.
i am currently a writer/producer for the Oprah Winfrey Network in west hollywood, and i hope to add many more slashes to my future resume. as long as i get to be creative, i'm a happy camper. (but for the record, not a huge fan of camping)
